Church Clerk

The Church Clerk is responsible for recording, processing, and maintaining accurate records of all church business meeting transactions.  The Clerk is also responsible for all official church membership records and communications.  The Assistant will fill in for the Clerk when needed.

  1. Keep an accurate record (in the form of minutes) of all business transactions made and approved in church business meetings.
  2. Present the minutes of the prior meeting(s) at each business meeting for official church approval.
  3. Prepare, protect and store in the church office all church records for present and future use.
  4. Provide clerical assistance during invitation period of the worship service for new members, and other decisions made.
  5. Manage letters of membership, such as transfers of church letters to other churches, membership by baptism, transfer from another church, or by statement. 
  6. Prepare online the annual church profile worksheet and send online to the GA Baptist Association.
  7. Be faithful to attend all worship services unless providentially hindered and actively participate in a Sunday School class.
  8. Be faithful to support the church with your tithes and offerings.
  9. Be diligent in your personal bible study and prayer so that your continued spiritual growth will set a Godly example for others.
